Mission Immersion Trips to Africa:
August 4 – 13, 2017: Mwanza, Musoma and Serengeti, Tanzania – ENCOUNTER.
Deadline for Signing up: April 4, 2017
Tanzania is most known for the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar — for the picturesque scenery, and abundance of wildlife. Participants in the Friends Across Borders (FAB) trip to Tanzania will experience this beauty. We will also experience the daily reality of the lives of people in one of the most impoverished countries in the world.
Maryknoll Lay Missioners living in Tanzania invite you to walk with them as they accompany Tanzanians in their efforts to survive the endemic poverty of their country and transform it to a place that offers dignity to all. Download the Registration Form
June TBD, 2018: Mombasa, Kenya – Immersion Program
Deadline for Signing up: February, 2018
Maryknoll Lay Missioners (MKLM) invite you to experience not only Kenya’s natural beauty and the abundance of wildlife, but to walk with Kenyan people on their daily journeys. This is an opportunity to accompany people of ancient cultures who have taught many missioners the meaning of the Swahili expression Mungu Yupo – God is here!.
They say that those who go to mission in Kenya fall into the dance of the Living God. Indeed the rhythms of Africa are first and foremost meant to recognize the presence of the God of Life in all things. MKLM missioners in Kenya will introduce us to this dance of life in Kitale, located in the beautiful Great Rift Valley, which is known as the maize basket of Kenya. Next, you will visit Mombasa, a city on Kenya’s stunningly beautiful Indian Ocean coastline. Download the Registration Form
