PERSONAL DATA
Margo and her husband Erik joined MKLM from the Prince of Peace parish in Princeton, MA, a diocese of Worcester. Prior to Joining MKLM, Margo’s parish service included being a lector, overseeing adult education and participating on the parish education committee and other activities. She trained as a master catechist and led Bible study classes. She was on the Board of Directors of Dismas House, Inc., did nursing home and women’s prison ministries and volunteered with Nazareth Home for Boys. Margo was a founding board member of the Worcester County Food Bank, Inc.

With a BS in Animal Science from UMass, and a Masters of Business Administration from Western New England College, Margo enjoyed a successful and rewarding business career. Just prior to her joining MKLM, Margo was the Assistant Director of Fiscal Management with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Worcester, MA.

MKLM WORK
As a twenty-five year MKLM missioner, Margo has worked in diverse areas. She served in rural Tanzania, Venezuela and El Salvador in a variety of pastoral and development ministries: teaching religion and English; managing a bedded dispensary, health center and sewing school; providing outreach and hospice care to the terminally ill; accompanying abandoned and orphaned children, working with youth and women’s groups and small Christian communities; providing leadership development and training; overseeing a twelve village parish and other chapels; initiating a community garden project and economic development programs; assisting with housing construction; overseeing agricultural endeavors and providing material assistance and scholarships to those in most need. In the U.S., she worked in the Mission Services Department on the Admissions’ team and on the MKLM leadership team as the Director of Missions. She served as a member and ex-officio on MKLM’s Board of Directors. She served in the Mission Advancement Department. She supported the Communications and Public Relations Senior Manager with MKLM’s communications, marketing and public relations efforts. She provided consultation services to the Directors of Mission and Mission Services Department.
